Welkom! Please to meet you! Hope you guess my name.

Nice to meet you, I am Karen, more known as Kaka.

Brazilian ginger, a result of an european mix of italian, hungarian, scottish families, I was international since the really beginning.

Born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in São Paulo, I had spent most of my life writing lines for different clients, enjoying a really cold beer on the open bars on the sidewalk with great friends, discussing about the last trends in advertising and marketing, building marketing and communication online and offline strategies or with a backpack where it should be: on my back.

I have always been passionate about cultures, languages and human behavior. Moreover, I have always dreamt about living abroad. Searching for better opportunities career
wise and eager for new experiences, I had applied for a MBA in different parts of the globe. Finally, I decided to do it in a small and lovely country, called The Netherlands. And that is how this journey had begun.

After almost 2 years of biterballen, wonderful cheeses, windmills, rains (lots of!), language barriers, misunderstandings, homesickness, discovers, hate, love and learning, I decided to summarize my experiences in this blog and help you to also find your way here. No matter if you are a tourist, an expat or "just curious", I will try my best to show you the best and the worst of what an expat deal with in this gezellig country. Please enjoy the ride and let's go dutchy!

Tot ziens! See ya!
